We ran away to Mexico...
1. Palms, flowers, ruins, etc.
2. It’s a well, actually.
3. Cuando el coco está un poco verde.
4. He may be having a big birthday, but still looks like he works at the beach club snack bar.
5. Hammock situation
6. Too full of arrachera, I impatiently wait for my family’s fruit tourism.
7. I went scuba diving despite my apprehensions. It was beautiful.
Casting on for a sweater for which I bought the yarn in 2011. (! Why wait so long?) On ravelry, @littleskyhome had an amazing variant of a drops pattern that she called her Humboldt sweater, for its foggy layers. I bought this yarn hoping to do what she did, which I think at this time in knitting, we would call a fade.
My girl @eva.t and the quilt she made. Oh my heart! The quilt is an extension of the embroidered hands she's been stitching into patches, and she used @sherrilynnwood 's #getyourcurveon score.
It felt deeply good to stitch next to her for hours, watching Alias Grace (which is full of quilts) on Netflix. And I am so dang proud of her for taking on tricky techniques and, I love that she loves manipulating more materials. It's headed to QuiltCon, and my indigo diamonds quilt is too. #patchwork #embroidery
Our #a2mqg charity quilt for quiltcon! I'm our organizer this year, and it was really fun to work with the modern traditional theme. Thanks to everyone who participated! @amydieb @2louises @pretty_side_stash @blotchandthrum @rossiecrafts @gingernlemon @magwilky @sonjaminotaur + Ida and Jackie

Done and photographed in time for entry, but also stitched along at a steady pace over the last few months. It took time and I didn't care. I got better at hand quilting, learned some better technique. This is 100% going to live on the couch. #shibori #indigo #handquilting #applique #shibapplique
Join me while I over-deliberate on my next knitting project. Yes, this vintage cashmere is soft and gray and would make a pretty cardigan. But, do I really want to knit at this gauge and how would it feel over a long sleeve shirt? Maybe it should be a neck accessory, but would that take advantage of the quantity I have? Perhaps a loose gauge boxy pullover would be better? Oh my goodness, it doesn't matter. #knitting #deliberative
I started this quilt last winter with the idea that it would go to someone who could use some comfort and support. I finished it several months ago, but it's taken me until now to commit it. These #ohiostars are headed to Ozone House in Ann Arbor, a home for teens, often LGBTQ, who need a safe place to stay. It's one of our #a2mqg chosen charities. #charityquilt #modernquilt #traditionalquilt
