I'll tell you what's going on in that "death house", things you can't even imagine. These sweet, innocent non-human animals will bang their heads against the walls and bars, they will bite the metal bars till their mouth bleed trying to escape, they hurt themselves trying to find a way out, they moan their pain and despair, they go insane.

Animals awaiting slaughter are crying out loud, they pant frantically, shake uncontrollably, lose control of their bowels, collapse into their own vomit, try to scale walls in their desperate attempt to escape. Some are trying to protect their young with their own bodies.

They will be beaten with metal pipes, they will be electrically prodded, all because they do not move fast enough, or are too sick (because they have already spent days on the trucks that will carry them to their death, without food or water), to their own death. Many of the workers will take out their anger and frustration on these intelligent, sensitive beings, brutalizing them even further. Slaughterhouse workers have confessed that the horror that is inflicted upon these innocent lives, is only limited by their sick imaginations!

Most state anti-cruelty laws exempt "standard agricultural practices" because cruelty, abuse and neglect towards animals is standard practice.

They will go to their deaths, looking into the eyes of their murderers, pleading for mercy. But no mercy is ever shown to them....

Seriously it’s a game changer for those of us who are always running short on time.

What you will need:
β€’2 blocks of 14oz organic firm tofu
β€’1/2 cup nutritional yeast
β€’no sodium seasoning of your choice
Optional:
β€’2 TBSPs whole grain or whole wheat bread crumbs (the one I used contained sodium; couldn’t find a better kind at the grocery store I was at πŸ˜•)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Drain and press tofu to rid off excess moisture.

Cut tofu into 12 equal slices (each block).

Mix nutritional yeast and bread crumbs (optional).
-
Coat tofu slices on all sides with mixture.
β€’Tip: coat the edges first, then the larger sides to minimize buildup on your fingers.

Place on baking sheet and bake for 35 minutes.

Let the baked tofu rest for 5 minutes.

Serving size is 6 tofu fingers. 😊πŸ’ͺ🏼

I honestly hated with a passion all the pills and injections we had to go through, not knowing how to completely get rid of it. All the doctors said good diet and exercise, not actually explaining why it happens. Sure everyone thinks it's from all the sugar consumption but it's actually from all the saturated animal fats blocking the cells from absorbing the sugars and turning it to energy. I then adopted a plant based diet with the help of my dad who was doing it for a few years already. Did alot of research and watched a lot of videos and documentaries about vegans and came to the conclusion that it's very simple. Vegan food is all about seasoning and textures. My grandmother was skeptical about trying it but I asked her what her favorite dishes are and I told her we would veganize them. Little did I know that I would rediscover my passion for cooking and helping the people I loved. Animal milk has long been claimed as the go-to source of calcium by the dairy industry, but as it turns out, milk is bad for you. Calcium from animal milk is not absorbed as well as that from plant-based sources, and it can be accompanied by a number of dangerous health problems.
1. Broken bones: In a Swedish medical study, women who consumed large quantities of dairy milk daily were more likely to sustain fractures than those who drank little to no milk.

2. Prostate cancer: Some evidence suggests that the consumption of milk and other dairy products leads to an increased risk of prostate cancer. Conversely, dairy-free diets have been followed to slow the progress of prostate cancer.

3. Lactose intolerance: Cow’s milk contains a sugar called lactose that can be difficult for people to digest, resulting in symptoms such as nausea, cramps, gas, bloating, and diarrhea. It can also develop later in life and result in months of worsening symptoms.

4. Acne: In multiple studies, the consumption of all types of cow’s milk was linked to an increased prevalence and severity of acne in both boys and girls.

5. Cholesterol: A single serving of milk can contain as much as 24 mg of cholesterol, whereas vegan food has no cholesterol.

6. Ovarian cancer: A Swedish study showed that women who consumed four or more servings of dairy products each day were twice as likely to develop serous ovarian cancer as those who consumed two or fewer servings of dairy products each day.

7. Milk allergies: Unlike lactose intolerance, milk allergies, usually in young children, are characterized by potentially strong and dangerous reactions, such as vomiting or anaphylaxis.
8. Antibiotics: Many cows are pumped full of antibiotics. This practice is leading to antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which may decrease the effectiveness of antibiotics.

9. Saturated fat: A single serving of whole milk can contain more than 20 percent of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of saturated fat, but even 1 percent milk has 8 percent of the RDA. If you consume three servings of whole milk, you’re already at 60 percent for the day, even before eating any food.
