It was a lot tougher than I realized trying to come up with my #best9 . This year was a lot better than I anticipated. So many wonderful memories and brand new opportunities. I wish I could include them all. Thank you everyone (even those of you I couldn’t fit on this photo collage) for making this an awesome year!
Honorable mentions include seeing Riverdance, viewing the eclipse, several student athletes, my fraternity, my fraternity’s best sweetheart ever, baseball/softball, and so much more.

#TBT to when @h_west98 , @nieto424 , and I worked on Thanksgiving night. Black Friday sucked a little less with these guys. Lol. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (P.S. at 3 AM, it was easy to get slap happy. Nick’s deer in headlights eyes and his glowing nose after completing his advise was pretty funny at that moment).
I’m going to dedicate a very special #MotivationMonday s/o to these incredible people. Coach Lola and his wife, Tina, are truly some of the most wonderful and inspiring people you’ll ever meet! It is blessing beyond words to know them and to be influenced by them. ================================
@kenlolla and @tinalolla , thank you both so much for everything you do, for all the ways you inspire people, and for all the wonderful occasions every time we meet. Both of you are very important influences in my life. Thank you! ================================
Today my church celebrated the feast day of Saint Martin of Tours. Even though it was technically yesterday, the Catholic Church allows for celebration of the church’s patron saint on the nearest Sunday. ================================
Saint Martin has 2 stories. His first one is the more known one. He was a Roman soldier who came across a beggar. Out of kindness, he cut his own cloak in half and gave the half to the beggar for warmth. That night, during his sleep, he had a vision that Jesus wore the half of the cloak that was given to the beggar. He immediately converted to Christianity. There is also legend that upon waking up, his cloak was fully restored. ================================
The second story of St. Martin was during his time he was to become bishop. He didn’t feel that he would be worthy of such responsibility. He went off to hide somewhere. God had other plans. A goose began to quack and honk wildly which gathered the attention of everyone who eventually found him. He did become bishop after that. That’s why we see a goose by the foot of his statue. ================================
One other fascinating fact about him, he is a patron saint of soldiers. His feast day is Nov. 11. November 11 is also Veteran’s Day in the U.S. ================================
