Sometimes you might think that the right moment for the photo only lasts as long as the flapping of a butterfly's wings. Therefore, many rely on autofocus lenses to capture images quickly. Learn in our latest LENSPIRE article why it's worth taking things slowly and which role manual focus is playing in its progress (link in bio).

Well, that’s a wrap, everyone. I want to thank my good friends at Zeiss for letting me take over their feed. I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos and Photo Tip Stories. Feel free to follow me @brianmatiash for more!
In 2011, Guinness World Records named Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station as the busiest in the world with an average of 3.64 million passengers flowing through each day. If you want to get a true experience of what that feels like, find a spot—if you can—on one of the station’s 36 platforms during the morning rush hour. It is hard to describe what it feels
like to see so many people file in and out of trains with such coordination. It was important that I be as inconspicuous as possible with my camera because I didn’t want to draw attention to myself while the commuters walked by. Fortunately, my Zeiss Loxia 2/35 is tiny and very fast, so I was able to nab my photos with ease.
Hello again, everyone! This is Zeiss Ambassador @brianmatiash back with another IG Takeover post. Be sure to also check out the Photo Tip Stories that I’ve been sharing, as well, and let me know if you have any questions.
While this alley has several colorful names, it truly is a delight to stroll through once it gets dark and all the lights turn on. If you go in the early evening, you’ll be surrounded
by people just getting off work to grab some drinks and food at these small bars. It’s also a wonderful area to enjoy some yakitori. Because this alley is so narrow and curves a bit, I needed a wide focal length. Also, I needed a fast lens to get a sharp exposure because, despite all of the lights, it was still quite dark. Thankfully, my Zeiss Batis 2.8/18 and Sony a7R III met all of the criteria and was lightning fast to lock focus. #zeisscameralenses
Hello, everyone! My name is @brianmatiash and I’m a Zeiss Ambassador. I’ll be taking over the feed and Stories today, sharing some new photos and tips from my recent trip to Tokyo. Let me know if you’ve got any questions, too!
If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to stand in the middle of a literal herd of pedestrians, go visit Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo during rush hour. As soon as the green “Walk” signals illuminate, hundreds upon hundreds of people begin crossing in every possible direction and effortlessly glide around any obstacles in their path… like a
photographer trying to get a selfie in the middle of the chaos.
I needed an ultra-wide focal length to capture this busy scene and my Zeiss Batis 2.8/18 did the trick perfectly when paired with my Sony a7R III. #zeisscameralenses
