One of my biggest insecurities was look at pictures of me or videos and see how I look from behind. My love handles and hip dips drove me crazy, to the point to sometimes don't even recognize myself, because I didn't want to look like that. But, this changed. I mean, I changed it. I worked my ass off (literally) and now I'm so comfortable and happy with my shape from behind... 😍🙊😊 But don't get me wrong, I still have my love handles and hip dips, but building muscle around them made them look so much better

I'm not saying that love handles and hip dips are not beautiful, what I'm saying is that there is something in your body that you don't like or that you think doesn't suit your shape and form, you have the power to change it 💕💕

Great first lesson with @vollrathian working on shallowing the clubshaft. As a result of the club being in a better position/angle, most of the body motion (early extension) cleaned itself up. ANOTHER PRODUCTIVE WEEK 📝

In September, I tasked myself to make a list of 25 things I want to accomplish by the end of this year. I bought a nice board from @homegoods and wrote out all 25 of my goals and keep it visible to myself every single day.

This week I’m checking off another 3️⃣ items on my list. So now I have 8️⃣ of the 2️⃣5️⃣ things completed. With only about six weeks left in the year, I still have some work to do‼️ But I am determined and motivated and I am keeping myself accountable. I will definitely be doing this project again for the new year 🙌🏼

The goals should be a mix of major, minor, and fun. Keep things realistic but also challenge yourself. Think about things that you need to do maybe at home or around the house but you’ve been putting off and really need to get done. Think about maybe places you wanted to go or things you want to try and just haven’t gotten around to it.
Some of the goals on my list included:
✨ Obtaining my group fitness certification 👯‍♀️
✨ Starting my 2nd job as a personal trainer
✨ Go to the dentist
✨ New tattoo
✨ Skin check at dermatologist 👩🏻‍⚕️
✨ Finish unpacking my apartment 📦
✨ Pay off a certain bill 💵
✨ Try cryotherapy
✨ Read 4 new books 📚
....and more‼️

Strongly encourage everyone to task themselves with this project if you haven’t already, definitely for the new year. You can set aside the time like the first quarter and start to maybe jot down ideas of some of the things that you would want to challenge yourself to complete within the first couple of months of the new year 🙌🏼

Had a great conversation a couple of days back with pretty much our longest serving class member Jo Parker - jo has practically been with us since the beginning and has experienced not only her own changes but also the development of Penrhyn PT along the journey too 👊

Jo has achieved some incredible results in terms of weight loss, body shape change and significant changes in both body strength and cardiovascular fitness....💪 She mentioned above all the great physical changes she mostly values how much more confident she feels about her body, her long term health and happiness which drives her on to push her career and be an active Mum at the same time.... From the outside looking in I would say Jo’s work-ethic, organisation, willingness to communicate with our trainers and interact/support the members and sheer out consistency have been big factors towards her on - going results... Jo said to me that when it comes to her training, food and lifestyles it’s all about the mind. Staying in a positive place and recognising how quickly being in a negative place can turn into a cycle.
She said that this is key for her particularly when there are manic weeks with work and family and she can’t always stick to the sessions she planned to make and she has to adapt her schedule... Being a part of the same program and community of people for a sustained period of time can massively leverage your results... Spend time building a strong foundation both physically and mentally and the changes you make can really stick....💪
