Aglio E Olio, homemade but the recipe is from @Bingingwithbabish and the movie Chef @chefthefilm starring @jonfavreau . I'm a big fan and they are a huge reason I got into publishing my cooking! 🍻

Being my first attempt at this dish, I was surprised how easy it was to create something so light and flavorful. It only requires a lemon, garlic, noodles, olive oil, red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, salt and pepper, and 10 minutes of my time! MAMMA MIA! I now understand why Babish has a tattoo of this scene from the movie on his forearm. 🍲When boiling the pasta, continually sample it until the texture feels like you are biting into a stick of fresh gum. This is called "Al dente", and it creates a firm texture which compliments the sauce and feels/tastes better in your mouth.😍 This method of cooking the pasta just enough keeps the chains of sugar as a complex carb, allowing them to be slowly released into your blood as you digest it. With small portions, this dish can be a part of diabetic patients balanced diet.

This dish checked off so many flavors: It was spicy, savory, acidic, sweet, sour, salty, great texture, and refreshing. I give this dish an 8/10 ✔️

The Marisa of the past would be astonished by the consumption of carbs (pancakes and French toast) I now eat every morning. But that’s progress people. Plus I bought some seeded whole grain bread from @aldiusa and I actually really like it, I had doubts, but I’m glad I took a chance. My recipe is 2 tablespoons (ish) of flaxseed, 1/2 a banana, @ripplefoods pea milk, cinnamon & @optimumnutrition chocolate protein powder and mix. Dip bread and throw in skillet. Super easy and delicious, no eggs required. Nourish your body. Life’s too short not to enjoy good food.

Este post es para tod@s pero va dedicado a @albertpalomar que me pidió la receta y lo prometido siempre es deuda. Aquí os la dejo, para que lo pongáis en práctica y me mandéis fotos con vuestros platos y cómo lo habéis usado.
1 taza de almendra cruda pelada o anacardos crudos
1/2 taza de levadura nutricional en copos
1 cucharada sopera rasa de ajo en polvo
1 cucharada sopera rasa de sal marina no refinada
un poco de pimienta recién molida (opcional)
Triturar todo en un procesador hasta que quede incorporado y fino como el parmesano rallado. Listo! A disfrutar!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Si te gusta mucho el queso y te gusta ponérselo a muchas cosas y gratinar todo, pues tener esta opción es mejor para tu salud, porque te ahorras raciones de lácticos, grasas saturadas animales y sobre todo que en muchas ocasiones el queso rallado que venden no es queso, pero de eso hablamos otro día. 🧀🧀🧀

Hello people! 😀This is my healthy version of #vegan Parmesano and tastes very similar to the real cheese but is made with vegetable ingredients. This post is for everyone but is dedicated to @albertpalomar who asked me for the recipe and what is promised is always a debt. Here I leave it to you, so that you put it into practice and send me photos with your dishes and how you have used it.
1 cup raw peeled almonds or raw cashews
1/2 cup flaked nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of unrefined sea salt
a little bit of freshly ground pepper (optional)
Grind everything in a processor until it is incorporated and fine as grated Parmesan. Ready! To enjoy!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you like cheese and you like to put it in many things and top with it everything, then having this option is better for your health, because you save portions of dairy, saturated animal fats. 🧀🧀🧀

Smoothie bowl: topped with honey sweetened buckwheat, quick granola and berries. I used the basic smoothie recipe on website, adding accidentally frozen spinach that I talked about a couple weeks ago. If you’re just starting to add whole grain berries into your diet, I recommend adding in small quantities at first, like on top of a smoothie bowl, 1 Tbsp. on a salad, or a little in a soup. Breakfast garden greens. I often think...what would it cost me to eat this many greens every morning if I wasn’t growing them?! Sadly I get to find out every summer when it is too hot to grow anything here...plus I solarize my beds in the summer and grow cover crops to supplement the soil.
Ground turkey with a little morning guac sprinkled with scallions...also from the garden. Of course I am having my morning cup of soup. This is creamy cauliflower turnip soup. Just posted recipe is on my blog at paleogirl99.com the other day.

There are two types of people in this world: those who cut beautiful slices of avocado and fan them out over a salad/make avocado roses/magic and then there are those who eat the avocado straight outta the skin (with a sprinkle of pink salt) or attempt to smash on toast 🥑🥑🥑

It is shocking to me how many coaches and fitness professionals out there mock people’s choices for the betterment of their health. ‘Lifestyle Shaming’ is it’s own new recipe of ‘my way of eating is better than yours.’ #

But it’s not. What’s best for you is not best for me or the rest of us.
