My top 10 tips for creating your own #transformationtuesday
•
1) you need to spend more time with a barbell in your hand than a drink.
•
2) in fact, you need to spend more time with the bar than at the actual bar.
•
3) you're going to have to pick new social circles that are conducive to your health lifestyle. Binge drinking multiple times each week will get you nowhere. Choose wisely.
•
4) stop feeling sorry for yourself. Everyone is stressed. Busy. Everyone is tired and hates parts of their lives. Get over it. Really. •
5) stop using food to deal with things in #4
•
6) stop doing so much cardio. Start lifting weights that sort of scare you. The minute you ask "I'm not sure if I can move this" is the second you know you're on to something. Now, go move it anyway.
•
7) if you insist on cardio- make it short. Hard AF, all out intensity, but short. And not every day. Not even every other day. Spend more time in the weight room. Like, 4-5 sessions per week.
•
8) there are no good foods and no bad foods. On the left, I practiced such categories. On the right? I eat it all, sans guilt.

9) portion sizes are king. See #8
•
10) work hard and then keep working. Always be the hardest working person in every room that you step into. Apply this in all areas of your life. Nonnegotiable.

Bonus tip:
11) stop using the scale as your only metric of success. There are less than 5 pounds difference between these two photos. It takes TIME to gain muscle and lose fat. Sometimes the scale doesn't move. But, apply #s 1-10 and change will come.

The Judges told me to build 10 more lbs of muscle, so I'm building 10 more lbs of muscle.

This week marks the beginning of my off season growth period; and heavy deadlifts, steak, and winning are all I can think about.

The Judges at the #daytonabeachclassic2017 placed me 6th in Novice Classic Physique and 7th in Open Men's Physique behind a line of STACKED competitors. I know I brought my best image to show to date, but seeing as my goal was to place in the top 5 it's hard not to have mixed feelings.

Nevertheless this only fuels my ambition towards a successful future in Bodybuilding and fitness.
Time to keep on grinding.
