“I've had people ask me at home, ‘what do you think of St. Jude?’" Janie's dad says. "I say, whatever you think, it's better."


Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.


Nine-year-old Caleb loves the WWE, but his biggest hero is his doctor at St. Jude. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May 2017, and his cancer is now in remission.



"St. Jude is a blessing. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, St. Jude will take care of you," says Jaimes, Shenikah's father. Check out our story to learn more about Shenikah and her love for Peppa Pig and all things pink and purple.


Addy, a little cowgirl who wears her boots every day, is getting treated at St. Jude for brain cancer. “I've never gone into a medical facility and felt as good as I do about St. Jude,” says her mom. “They’ve made everything that we've gone through, even cancer, as easy as possible.”


St. Jude patient Mikayla loves theater, drawing, coloring and singing in choir. In January 2017 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, but Mikayla is now finished with treatment and returns to St. Jude for regular checkups.

"No amount of darkness can ever take away light," Nathan's dad says. "Light will always take darkness away, and when I think of Nathan, he is as resilient as light. Nothing makes him sad, really. He has every reason in the world to complain, but he doesn’t. He’s a very content, happy baby who loves to play and smile.”

Nolan is a resilient, smart kid who has been very mature about his experience with cancer. He started fourth grade this year and is excited to finally be back playing on the soccer field after finishing treatments for medulloblastoma in March.


Gideon's first two Christmases were spent at St. Jude, receiving treatment for stage 4, high risk neuroblastoma. This year, Gideon finally spent Christmas at home, cancer-free.

When Ray was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, his parents had a myriad of treatment options around the world, but their research told them St. Jude was the best choice. “There’s a goal, and the goal is very much focused on trying to find cures and make things better for the patients," Ray's dad says.


Anthony Lawrence, who has been out of treatment for several years, is a ninth grade honors student. “St. Jude continues to be the bridge that allows our family to move on to the next phase of our lives,” said Anthony Lawrence’s mother. “St. Jude allows us to enjoy the brightness of his future.”

At just 15 months old, Liam has already been treated for two types of cancer. Because Liam has Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, he has an increased risk of developing cancer.
“We’re very lucky. In Liam’s first year of life, his treatments have cost more than I would be able to pay in a lifetime,” Liam's mom says. “Because of St. Jude, we don’t have to worry about medical bills.”
